Porta Soprana The Porta Soprana is a 12th century structure with two towers that was once part of the city walls, and is located steps away from what is rumoured to be Christopher Columbus' boyhood home. It was once a gateway into Genoa via an ancient Roman road, and it is also said that Columbus' father may have been employed as the gatekeeper. Address: Piazza Dante Genoa GE Italy
